A $400 damage deposit is required at booking. This will be held in Meadowlark Park's account and is to ensure that our hall rental conditions are respected. The hall is to be left as clean as it is found - the damage deposit will be returned quickly once the hall manager establishes that this condition has been met. In the event of damage to the hall, or in the event the hall is not left as clean as it was found or in the condition described and demonstrated by the hall manager at the beginning of the rental, the damage deposit will be used to offset costs associated with the restoration or repair of the hall to its appropriate state. In the event that the damage deposit is not sufficient to cover the damages, the tenant agrees by contract to cover the additional costs as justified, using either their own funds or the funds of an insurance policy arranged in advance, or a combination of both. Please see the Rental Conditions for more information on the use and application of the damage deposit.
The rental rate for the Meadowlark Park Community hall is $40 per hour, per space being used. The spaces are the upper hall and the lower hall. Thus, a group using both the upper and lower halls would pay $80 per hour. While we strive to attain stability in the rental rate, it is subject to change without notice.
There is a minimum charge of eight hours for any Saturday evening rental.
In no event can we rent the hall for less than three consecutive hours.
There is a $150 cancellation fee for any event that is cancelled with less than 20 days notice to the community. This fee will be deducted from any refund of rent already paid, or from the damage deposit where the rent has not already been paid.
Separate rental conditions apply to long-term contracted renters.
Rental of the Public Address system is available. An additional $200 damage deposit is required, and the cost is $50. Such a rental will be noted as an addendum to the main contract. In the event of damage to the PA system, both damage deposits will be leveraged for necessary repairs or replacement.
